Instadapp aims to be a decentralized open-source gateway protocol for the DeFi ecosystem. According to the whitepaper, the ecosystem seeks to help users tackle complex tasks, including leveraging or trading in single transactions. The Instadapp ecosystem also intends to be a bridge protocol that allows users to migrate debts between compound finance and maker vaults. Moreover, the ecosystem is specially designed for developers by building compelling use-cases. It also improves the users' models for earning rewards while serving users with high reliability. 

Going further, the DSL aims to perform the main functionalities of account extensions and upgradeability. In addition, the ecosystem also intends to provide users four functions which include:

Sowmay Jain and Samyak Jain founded Instadapp in the fall of 2019. Later, in October 2019, Pantera Capital led one of the first seed rounds conducted by the Instadapp ecosystem.
